He was obvious and in contrast on the warm ground, a visitor passing by on a beautiful September day…  I placed him at the crown of my prized maple and watched as he prayed.  I prayed as his delicate body lay in the cold.  I brought him in and with his calm breath, we went to sleep.  Head turned, he quickly glanced at me, arms reaching out with curiosity.  We again went out together and watched the leaves thrusting in the sunshine, a few others were around but were of no interest.  He and I had a moment together, one of life.  It is nighttime and sleep is good, and after a cleansing and mutual prayer, his breath is calm…  His favorite color was green just like mine.
